Record income and expenses

Use Finance for money that isn’t a POS sale: rent, supplier bills, a cash injection, a bank transfer you want on the books. POS sales already show up as revenue.

Recording revenue and expenses is on Starter. Finance analytics charts are on Pro and Scale.

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Open Finance

From Home, open Finance. You’ll see recent transactions and totals for the period you pick (today, this month, custom).

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Add revenue

Tap + Revenue. Enter the amount, a note (optional), and tags if you group by type. Save. Use this for income that didn’t go through POS.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Add an expense

Tap to add an expense. Enter the amount and what it was for (rent, supplies, wages paid outside payroll). Save.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Find it later

Filter the list by period or search. Edit or delete a row if you entered it wrong. Don’t re-enter POS sales here — they’re already recorded.
